The idea behind this site stemmed from a few years ago when I was fortunate enough to win a snowboard in a bar raffle.  The board was a little small for me, so I wanted to sell it and use the money to buy a larger board.  Whilst I could only fetch a few hundred pounds for what was by now a second-hand - albeit unused - snowboard,  the new seasonal boards were costing upwards of £400 pounds.  So I started looking towards the best of the season before and then the season before that.  Naturally the prices started to tumble but the quality and rating of the boards didn't.

Through this site I hope to collate a host of items that really were peerless when at their peak, that is until a new model came along.  This should present some fantastic savings without compromising the standard of the purchase.

As for me, I work as a Purchasing Consultant working on procurement cost reduction projects for companies as small as local farms and as large as BP.  As a result this kind of website makes a lot of sense to me!
